Petroleum vs. Chemical Engineering...?

Ok so I am a chemistry enthusiast and I wanna pursue an engineering degree that will allow me to use chemistry...The two obvious choices are chemical and petroleum engineering but I am not really to sure what the difference really is and what type of career I would be looking at with each...Can someone please explain this to me?
