What kind of oil should I use for plastic body rifles?

I have a g36c that I have lost the instructions to and I don't know what kind of oil I should use in it. I want to use Remington gun oil to lubricate it, but I am afraid that the petroleum products it contains may destroy or erode the plastic body away. Any suggestions on what I should use?
