How to take care of a Husky?

We are getting a Husky, no changing our minds but before we have it I want to make sure we know everything we need to know. I know they are not supposed to be in hot temperature and in Canada the summers aren't bad. Now obviously you wouldn't want them in a fence, or inside all the time we decided we would have a rather long chain so he can run but not run away, he will be took for walks daily. I really need some tips, its a rather large family so he will never be lonely of left alone...still only 3 people do live in the house but everyone is willing to help out, the dog will not be alone. Please leave a reply as to what food they like and what you need other that necessities that might be nice...(house, toys etc)
